Last Thursday, Heleen and Richard gave a guest lecture at the University of Groningen, introducing Districon to third-year Econometrics & Operations Research students. We discussed what it was like to work at Districon, and after that we explored two cases of current Solutions projects. We discussed workload balancing and production scheduling and the different solution methods that we use to solve these problems. It was fun to give the students some real-life applications of the material they study!
